We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to request deletion of your MyAlumni UniMAP account and associated data.
📋 How to Request Account Deletion
- Send an email to alumni@unimap.edu.my
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request - MyAlumni UniMAP"
- Include in your email:
- Your registered email address
- Your full name
- Reason for deletion (optional)
- We will process your request within 30 days
- You will receive confirmation once your account is deleted
📦 Data That Will Be Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, email, phone number)
- Your profile picture
- Your location data
- Your work/professional information
- Your alumni directory listing
- Your discussion posts and comments
- Your saved preferences and settings
- Your login credentials
📁 Data That May Be Retained
Some data may be retained for legal or administrative purposes:
- Basic alumni records (name, matric number, graduation year) - retained for university archives
- Transaction records (if any) - retained for 7 years as required by law
- Anonymized usage statistics
⚠️ Important Notice
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Once deleted:
- You will lose access to the alumni network
- Your profile will be removed from the alumni directory
- Your location will be removed from the alumni map
- You will need to re-register if you want to use the app again
Processing Time: Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days of receiving your request. You will receive an email confirmation once your account has been deleted.
