By downloading, installing, or using the MyAlumni UniMAP application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) regarding your use of the App.

2. Eligibility

The App is exclusively designed for:

• Alumni of Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP)
• Current students of UniMAP
• Staff members of UniMAP
• Authorized personnel approved by UniMAP

By registering, you confirm that you are a legitimate member of the UniMAP community and that all information provided is accurate and truthful.

3. Account Registration

To access the App's features, you must create an account by providing:

• Your full name as per official records
• Valid IC Number or Passport Number
• Matric number (if applicable)
• Valid email address
• Faculty and graduation information
• Current location (city, state, country)

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of the App, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information
• Use the App only for lawful purposes
• Respect other users and their privacy
• Not share your account credentials with others
• Not impersonate other alumni or staff members
• Not upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Not attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the App
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5. Prohibited Activities

• Creating fake or duplicate accounts
• Harvesting or collecting user data without consent
• Sending spam, promotional content, or unsolicited messages
• Posting defamatory, discriminatory, or harassing content
• Sharing confidential university information
• Using the App for commercial purposes without authorization
• Attempting to reverse engineer or modify the App

6. Content Guidelines

When posting content (discussions, comments, or profile information), you must:

• Ensure content is respectful and professional
• Not post content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Not share personal information of others without consent
• Not post misleading or false information

UniMAP reserves the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without prior notice.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. By using the App, you consent to:

• Collection of personal data for alumni network purposes
• Display of your profile to other verified alumni
• Receiving notifications about events and announcements
• Processing of data in accordance with PDPA Malaysia

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by UniMAP and protected by Malaysian and international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without explicit written permission from UniMAP.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. UniMAP does not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The App is free of viruses or harmful components
• Information provided by other users is accurate

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UniMAP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use or inability to use the App
• Unauthorized access to your data
• Conduct of other users
• Any errors or omissions in content

11. Account Termination

UniMAP reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

• You violate these Terms and Conditions
• You provide false or misleading information
• Your conduct harms other users or the university
• Required by law or regulatory authority

12. Changes to Terms

UniMAP reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
